I Regret Insulting Gov. Fubara – Ikwerre Council Boss, Nwanosike

The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Dr. Samuel Nwanosike has expressed regrets for publicly insulting the office and person of the Rivers State governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking at a rally of the Grassroot Development Initiative in Emohua on Friday, Dr Nwanosike said his ‘Oga’ the minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike scolded him for deriding the office of the governor and insulting him.

Dr Nwanosike had used abusive words when he referred to the governor as a mumu and foolish person.

He did so on a number of occasions while addressing gatherings of people in Umerelu and elsewhere within the Ikwerre Local Government area.

“That my leader called me to order after my outburst in my last rally at Omerelu called me to order by saying it is wrong for you to speak to a governor in that manner whether he is 18 years old.

“I want to tender an unreserved apology to the people of Nigeria for speaking in that manner, and to say clearly that I regret that action and it was made by (in) anger.”
