Oil Spill: Youth Leader Sympathize With Brittina-U, Call For Peaceful Negotiation

As a result of the fire incident that engulfed the Brittana-U FPSO, at Ajakpa Field, OML 90, 10.77, nautical miles, South of Forcados Terminal in Delta, on Thursday 18th July, 2024.
Youth Leader from the Oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom, Comr. Samuel Uyadongha has heartily sympathize with the crew, staff and management of Brittina-U Nigeria Limited over the very sudden, unfortunate and devastating incident.

Uyadongha, who spoke to Briga News Correspondent, call for calm, urging all and sundry to be calm and let there be a peaceful negotiation among critical stakeholders in the kingdom and the company as the fire is still on in the vessel till date.

The former Ogulagha Clan IYC Chairman join his voice to Ogulagha Kingdom and critical stakeholders to call for a JIV to be initiated and carried out. While stating that it is very obvious and glaring the negative impact of the oil spill and pollution in the entire Ogulagha Kingdom and her environment.

The former Obotobo 2 President enjoin that when the JIV has been conducted and the necessary things done.
Brittina-U Nigeria Limited should as a matter of urgency reach out to the affected communities, initial a clean up and remediation, provide medical and relief materials as well as pay compensation to the people.
