Updated: Ogulagha Kingdom Welders and Fitters Union Inaugurate New Executive As Abanre Emerges Chairman

Apex body of all welders and Fitters of the oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom operating under aegis of Ogulagha Kingdom Welders and Fitters Association had yesterday June 28, inaugurated her new executive that will pilot the affairs of the association for the next three years.

The event which took place at Youbebe community, Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, witnessed a large turnout of professionals and members of the association representing each zone in the kingdom.

In his remark, outgoing Chairman of the association, Chief Amb. Apst. Godspower Tomone, roll out barrels of appreciation to everyone for the privilege and opportunity given to him to serve.
He particularly thank the chiefs, stakeholders and his predecessor, Comr. Ato Deck Pere.

Chief Tomone, while x-raying his administration, states that there are myriads of challenges but thank God he recorded a huge Success and urges the new executive to continue from where he stopped as the template as already been laid.

On his part, the new chairman, Mr Friday Abanre appreciate his predecessor, Chief Amb. Godspower Tomone and the entire members of the union for finding him worthy and saddling such a huge responsibility on him.

He promised not to fail but do his best inorder to uplift, advance and move the union to the next level.

On his part, Chief Peter Kezi, while administering the oath of office to the new executive, charged them to be law abiding and ensure the activities of the union is carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations of the union, and as well consult leaders and stakeholders were necessary.

High point of the event is handover from the outgoing executive to the new one.

Members of the outgoing executive includes;

Chief Amb. Dr. Apst Godspower Tomone – Chairman

Richard Omoriyen – Secretary General

Churchill Dose – PRO

Tony Zerediowei – Financial Secretary

Akpos Okou – Treasurer

While the new executive includes;
Mr Friday Abanre – Chairman, Comr. Samuel Uyadongha – Vice Chairman, Dip Tony Temewei – Secretary General, Victor Maika – PRO, Ebis Dose – Financial Secretary.

Notable Chiefs present at the event includes; Chief Alfred Abu, Chief Patrick Ashiaya, Chief Peter Kezi, and various executives of the zones.
