Meet Comr. Nerissa Pukon, Aspirant For IYC Woman Leader, Western Zone

Comr. PUKON EBIELAMENE NERISSA is an indigene of Odimodi Community,  lduwini Clan, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

She had her University education at Niger Delta University graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Master’s degree in Fisheries Biology And Management ‘Msc in view’ from same school.

While in school she served in various leadership capacities and has always driven by her desire to impact lives

As a student she served as Vice President National Association of Odimodi students (NAOS) world-wide.

Vice President National Association of Fisheries student (NAFIS) Niger Delta University Chapter.

First Female Faculty President Nigerian Association of Agriculture students (NA AS) Niger Delta University Chapter, making her the number two(2) In the history of the school.

She has also served Treasurer National Union of Izon-ibe Students (NUIS) world-wide, where her passion, interest, yearning and desire in the process to serve ijaw youth was further enhanced.

In June 5, 2022. She Contested for the office of Women leader Ijaw Youth Council Western Zone where she lost the election BUT that didn’t stopped her participation in council activities and working closely with the zonal Women leader in ensuring the zone becomes envy from other zones.

She’s a very passionate advocate for girl child and Youth in general.

She founded ‘The Radiant Girls Foundation RGF’ an NGO that is focused on bringing out the potential of Girl child and was effectively running at schools across her Clan. Which underscore her passion for the development of her people.

During her time as Women Leader Nigerian Youth Organization (NYO) Burutu Local Government Chapter she worked with her Chairman organizing programs that her beneficial to Youths.

Her Aspiration as a women leader IYC Western Zone will further strides and bring in girls who will become leader label.

She’s ever ready to champion the cause of equality.
