… contractor assures work will ready by August
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State this afternoon paid an unscheduled visit to the ongoing rehabilitation work on the flood-impacted sections on Amassoma road.
Governor Diri, met a representative of the contractor identified as Yussouf, at one of the giant culvert spots, who then assured that the rehabilitation work would be completed by end of next month, August.
According to Yussouf, two other giant culverts have been completed and that within the new few weeks, all the three would have been completed.
The rehabilitation work on Amassoma road include construction of three giant culverts at different points to allow for free flow of water across the road even during flooding.
