Breaking: Heavy Protest Rock Ozoro Community Over Relocation Of Faculties To Orerokpe By Gov. Oborevwori

There is heavy tension in Ozoro Community, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, as hundreds of women and youths blocked the Ozoro/Kwale/Asaba express road protesting the relocation of the Faculty of Business Administration from the Delta State University of Science & Technology (formerly Delta State Polytechnic) from the institution to Orerokpe Community, Okpe Local Government Area. The community believed to be where the current governor Sheriff Oborevwori hails from.

Our source reports that the protesters stated that the relocation of the faculty from the Ozoro institution will greatly affect the economic life of the town.

The protesters who carried different placards with inscriptions demanded that the faculty be reinstated to the institution with immediate effect.

As at press time, travellers going to Asaba and other locations plying the roads are stranded, while many others forced to take alternative routes.

The protesters called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to as a matter of urgency relocate the faculty of business administration back to the university’s main campus inorder to prevent crime and criminality.
