Promise Kept: Excitement As Ikisa Begins Payment Of Oldest People In Burutu LGA

In line with the approval by the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government on payment of a monthly stipend for oldest man and woman across 72 Communities in the local government on August 30, 2023, the Council Chairman, Hon. (Chief) Combolous Ikisa has commenced payment today.

Chief Combolous Ikisa who said that the stipend is meant for supporting the elderly in the 72 communities across the local government, assured them that the monthly stipend will continue until the end of his administration.

Enerekon Brizimor, the oldest woman in Burutu Community, while receiveing her stipends expressed gratitude to the Council Chairman for his display of affection towards them. According to her, this is the first time the oldest in the various communities across the local government receives a monthly stipend. She however, prayed for the Council Chairman for long life and continued political progress.

On the entourage of the Council Chairman is Lawson Ogei, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Burutu Local Government, Comr.Hermann Ekisah, Chairman Burutu Community , Daniel Bonny, Coordinator, payment of the oldest man and woman among others.
