As the race for the Ondo gubernatorial elections draws closer, chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Comr. Ezekiel Ugowonni has lashes Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s campaign in Arogbo kingdom, Ese-Odo Local Government over the low turnout of supporters.

Ezekiel, who likened the low turnout as a rejection from the Arogbo people, states that Governor Aiyedatiwa recent show of love for the Arogbo people is just to buy their votes and win elections because he has never shown such love for the Arogbo people.

The PDP Chieftain states that Aiyedatiwa’s sudden show of love for the Arogbo people is only a pretence to win elections.

The statement read in full…

I bring you good tidings from the good people of Arogbo Kingdom, and to also make their position known to you in the next gubernatorial election in the Sunshine State.

Your Excellency, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, your recent show of love to the Arogbo man cannot be trusted. Arogbo Kingdom will gallantly move forward with Alfred Agboola Ajayi to better Ondo State.

It would be a great joy in our hearts as a people to see a Governor whose policies negatively affect the Arogbo man to record massive failure come 16th November 2024 at all the polling units in Arogbo. Your yesterday’s outing in Arogbo Kingdom is a harbinger of a collosal loss that awaits you, considering the number of active supporters that subscribed to your candidacy.

Regrettably, Your Excellency, at the campaign ground, you failed to tell Arogbo Kingdom your blueprints when elected as the Governor of the State. This alone has exposed your kind and character to the people of Arogbo Kingdom. We cannot allow a mistake we will live to regret for a lifetime.

Kindly note that nobody has the monopoly of control over the electorates in Arogbo Kingdom and we have decided as a people to vote Agbo/Fessy ticket in the next gubernatorial election.

Arogbo Kingdom is ready to vote for a collective change that will help shape/develop Ondo State.

Ezekiel Ugowonni.
