… as Hon. Oforji leads LP Assembly candidate, others to PDP
The Labour Party State House of Assembly Candidate for Yenagoa Constituency Two in the last election, Mr. Famous Okponya, has dumped the party and joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr. Okponya, who was received by Governor Douye Diri, alongside four Ward Chairmen of the party in the area said they came to the decision because of the developmental strides of the current Prosperity Administration.
The other defectors are: Mr. James Birifiaifi, the Director of Campaign to Mr. Okponya, Labour Party Yenagoa Ward 7 chairman, Mr. Timothy Dinipre, Ward 8 chairman, Mr. Orufa Dauebi, Ward 9 chairman, Mr. Okpobo Godday, Ward 10 Chairman, Mr. Akunama Doutua, and Ward 11 chairman, Mr. Thomas Dressman.
The member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency, Hon. Oforji Oboku, led the defectors to the Governor.
