In a short span of less than two months since assumption of office as the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa has left an indelible mark with his visionary leadership and commitment to progress. Taking over from the commissioner for Housing, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, he wasted no time in implementing transformative projects that have significantly impacted the lives of the people. From road construction to water projects and healthcare initiatives, his accomplishments have been note of worth and commendable.

While assuming office, Ikisa promised the good people of Burutu continuity and efficient service delivery with proofs and tangible projects. Thereby, evenly spreading the dividends of democracy.

On this piece, it is gathered that Hon Chief Combolous Konboye Ikisa has performed credibly well in just less than two months in office. Below are some of his footprint in office;

1. ONGOING CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWORK:
One of the most prominent achievements of Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa in less than two months in office is the ongoing construction of a road network in Burutu Local Government. Recognizing the importance of well-maintained roads for economic growth and social connectivity, he initiated this project to enhance transportation and accessibility in Burutu, the local government headquarters. The road construction is a testament to his dedication to improving the infrastructure and quality of life for the residents.

2) COMPLETED WATER PROJECT IN DELTA STATE SCHOOL OF MARINE TECHNOLOGY:
Access to clean and safe drinking water is crucial for any community’s development, particularly, for students. Understanding this, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa prioritized the completion of a water project in Delta State School of Marine Technology, Burutu.

The successful completion of this project now ensures that students and residents now have access to potable water, reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases and improving overall hygiene standards. This achievement demonstrates his commitment to the well-being of the students, staff and residents of the community.

3) CONSTRUCTION OF REVENUE COLLECTION POSTS:
To enhance revenue collection efficiency and transparency, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa initiated the construction of revenue collection posts in strategic locations across Burutu Local Government. These posts in Oboro and Tuomo axis serve as centralized points for revenue collection, simplifying the process for both the government and the public. The implementation of these posts demonstrates his resolve to improve fiscal management and generate sustainable revenue for the development of the local government.

4) CONSTRUCTION OF TOILET FOR ODIMODI AND OTHER COMMUNITIES :
Access to proper sanitation facilities is essential for maintaining public health and hygiene. Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa identified the need for improved sanitation infrastructure in Odimodi and other communities within Burutu Local Government. With this in mind, he undertook the construction of toilets in these areas, ensuring that residents have access to clean and safe sanitation facilities. This initiative reflects his commitment to the well-being and dignity of the community members.

5) APPOINTMENT OF WOMEN IN HIS ADMINISTRATION:

7) PAYMENT OF  MONTHLY STIPEND TO OLDEST MAN AND WOMAN IN 72 COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT:
In a remarkable move towards honoring and supporting the elderly, the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa, approved the payment of a monthly stipend of #10,000 for the oldest man and woman in 72 communities across Burutu local government. This initiative aims to recognize the invaluable contributions and wisdom of our aged men and women while ensuring their well-being and dignity in their later years.

8) PURCHASE OF A BUS FOR NULGE:
Recognizing the crucial role played by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in ensuring the welfare of local government workers, Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa prioritized their mobility. Understanding the challenges faced by NULGE members in accessing reliable transportation, he championed the procurement of a brand new bus for the workers. This acquisition not only eases the burden of transportation but also enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of NULGE’s operations. It demonstrates Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa’s commitment to supporting the workforce that drives the local government system.

9) OFOUGBENE HEALTH CENTER:
Healthcare is a fundamental aspect of any thriving community, and Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa recognized the need for accessible and quality healthcare services in Ofougbene Community.

During an official visit to the community, the Council Chairman made an appeal for a residential quarter to be made available for health officials and equipment before the completion of the health center.
