Edo Assembly Serves Impeachment Notice To Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu

Edo State House Of Assembly has served the Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu an impeachment notice.

The petition was presented before the house on Wednesday and was signed by 21 out of the 24 members signifying two-third of the house.

The Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku has directed the clerk to serve impeachment notice to the Deputy Governor.

According to the notice, Briga Media gathered that the Deputy Governor is to respond within the next 7 days of the notice.

It will be recalled that Philip Shaibu has always been in loggerhead with his boss, Governor Obaseki for sometime now.

He was also believed to have conducted a parallel primaries that declared him winner in the PDP.
