Angele Officially Handover to Ikisa As Burutu Council Chairman

Immediate past Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area and current Commissioner of Housing, Delta State, Rt Hon Godknows Angele today 28th August, 2023, officially handover the Council leadership to his Vice, Chief Hon Combolous Ikisa.

The event which took place at the Council chairman’s office, Burutu Secretariat witness a mammoth turnout of Burutu people from all spheres of lives.

While officially handing over council documents to Ikisa, Hon Godknows Angele thank the people of Burutu for their support, cooperation, wishes and prayers during his days as Council Chairman.

He particularly pay barrels of gratitude to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa for finding him worthy to serve as Council Chairman for two tenure. And of course, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori JP for elevating him to be a member of the state Executive Council as Honorable Commissioner for Housing.

Angele also appreciate Burutu Political leaders, stakeholders and party faithfuls for the trust and cooperation to his administration.

In his address, Chief Hon Combolous Ikisa, the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government give thanks to God for the privilege to serve the good people of Burutu as Council Vice Chairman for two tenure and now Executive Chairman.

He roll out gowns of appreciation to his immediate boss, Rt Hon Godknows Angele, for his leadership role so far, Burutu Political leaders, the Burutu legislative arm, Iduwini traditional Council of Chiefs, friends, family and loved ones who find out time to grace the occasion. And promised never to disappoint Burutu people but to do more.

He also thank the Visionary leadership of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State for transforming the State in just few months acknowledging that he will follow same.

Present at the handover ceremony includes Hon Peres Oloye, member representing Burutu South Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Leader B.Y. Biakpara, PDP Delta South Senatorial Chairman, Chief Julius Takeme, Hon Koffi Ammassoma, Chief Francis Boumiebi, Secretary to Burutu Council, Hon Sunny Perekeme, Leader of Burutu legislative House, Rt Hon Spencer Takeme, Supervisory Councilors, the Christian Association of Nigeria, Burutu Chapter, Iduwini traditional Council of Chiefs, women, youth bodies and several others.

After the official handover, a thanksgiving service was held to thank God for the successful handover where the word of God was preached and cultural groups were made to entertain the audience.
