3 Corp Members Donate Educational Materials To Students

3 Corps Members namely – Azuike Chukwuebuka Gideon, RV/22C/1197, Ekwebelem Johnvianney, RV/22C/1007 and Onyekachi Miracle Ugochi, RV/22C/0817, all members of the MIND THE GAP digital CDS have donated educational materials worth thousands of naira to the students of Multi-Skill Comprehensive Academy, Borokiri, Port Harcourt.

The donation comes as part of their group Community Development Service project aimed at impacting positively on the education needs of the students.

It also aligns with the NYSC’s Community Development Service (CDS) vision as a cardinal programme of the Scheme which encourages Corps Members to initiate and execute viable projects in areas of the felt needs of the people of their host community and by so doing, engrave their names in the heart of the people.

Inaugurating the project, the Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. George Mfongang represented by the Head, CDS Branch, Mrs. Grace Agbana lauded the Corps Members for their keying into the Scheme’s mantra of uplifting your host community through CDS projects execution.

Speaking further, Mr. Mfongang noted that the inspiration and thoughtfulness of the Corps Members will sink into psyche of students and galvanize them to taking their academics more seriously and become men and women of influence in the society tomorrow.

In a remark, the Zonal Inspector, Phalga Zone, Mrs. Vivian Nonyerem advised the students to be inspired by the Corps Members gesture and carve out a better tomorrow for themselves by taking their academics very seriously.

Items donated to the School and distributed to the students include –
52 dozens of Exercise books, 10 blackboards, 2 children play mattresses, 3 educational materials, 72 packets of Mathematical set, 2 containers of sharpeners, 2 packets of erasers, 10 packets of pencils, 5 containers of pen and 15 pieces of plastic chairs.

In attendance were the LGI Phalga, Mrs. Stella Ejoh, the CDS Schedule Officer, Ene Audu Ogbu as well as management and staff of the school.
