High Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), made a noteworthy visit at the Father Igologolo Temple in Saimuzu-Ama, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State, on Wednesday, September 12, 2024, to participate in a potent spiritual ceremony with High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and the spiritual head of the Ijaw people.
The assembly in the hallowed Aziza Forest served as a reminder of the value of cultural preservation as well as the rich spiritual legacy of the Ijaw people. Proudly traditionalist High Chief Otuaro urged everyone to embrace their cultural traditions, emphasizing that real progress starts with an appreciation and respect for one’s past. His attendance at the event served as a reminder of the close ties that the Ijaw people have to their traditional ways of life.
The Amnesty Administrator took some time during the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s unity and peace, especially for the Niger Delta region. He reassured the locals of President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to his Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the development and well-being of the Niger Delta continue to be top priorities for the present government.
This gathering of leaders devoted to maintaining Ijaw traditions while addressing the issues affecting their people was a cultural and spiritual high point.
