Profiling Chief Dr. Julius Takeme; The PDP Delta State Chairmanship Hopeful

Chief Dr. Julius Takeme is a highly accomplished and dedicated party man who has consistently demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Born in 1967, Chief Dr. Takeme has been an influential figure within the party, having held various positions at different levels of government.

As one of the foundational members of the PDP, Chief Dr. Takeme has an extensive background in party politics. He started his political journey as ward publicity Secretary and later assumed the role of party Chairman in Burutu local government. His exemplary leadership qualities and tireless efforts in advancing PDP’s agenda led to his appointment as the Chairman of PDP Delta South Senatorial District.

Throughout his political career, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme has been actively involved in shaping the political landscape at both national and state levels. He has served on numerous committees, contributing significantly to the success of various electoral campaigns, including those of Yar’Adua and Goodluck in Burutu local government. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the intricacies of political strategy and grassroots mobilization.

In addition to his political roles, Chief Dr. Takeme has held several notable appointments. He served as an Adviser to a former speaker of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha, and as a transitional Chairman in Burutu local government. He also represented Delta South as a member of the Delta State Technical and Vocational Board. Notably, he played a crucial role as the Commissioner for Urban Renewal, overseeing the construction of major roads in riverine communities. Furthermore, he served as the executive assistant to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, on special duties, showcasing his versatility and ability to handle diverse responsibilities.

Chief Dr. Takeme’s educational background is equally impressive. He attended Tara-Ebe Primary School and Burutu Grammar School before pursuing further studies at the College of Education, Warri. He continued his academic journey at Novena University, the University of Benin, and the National Open University, Benin Study Center, where he studied law. Additionally, he obtained a PhD in Public Administration from a foreign university and is currently pursuing another PhD at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
