Immediate-past Lawmaker that represented Onelga Constituency 2, Hon. Nathaniel Elendu Uwaji, has officially declared his interest yesterday to run for the office of the Chairman Of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The former Assembly Member declared his interest during a meeting held in Usomini Zone, his Zone.
The immediate-past Lawmaker told the people of Usomini that he is declaring his interest to pilot the affairs of this uncommon Local Government under the capacity as the Chairman.
He declared that his interest is born out of his wealth of experience in managing and handling public offices and his performance during his term as a member of the eight Assembly.
He assured the people of Usomini, that if he is given the mandate, that he will not let them down and pleaded for their continuous support and prayers.
Chief Oburu who spoke on behalf of the people of Ward 5 thanked, Hon. Nathaniel Uwaji for identifying with his own people first and promised to support him.
Prominent personalities who graced the occasion were: ex-Member Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Christian Ahiakwo; Fmr. Deputy Chairman of Onelga, Hon. Obiazi Adelia; Sir Austin ijeoma, Hon. Lucky Ajie, Special Adviser to the local government Chairman; Hon. Smart Achu, Ward 5 Councillor; Hon. Uzor Arthur, Ward 6 Councillor; Hon. Amadike Goodluck Nwabueze and Sir Comr. Keleb Ejukwu, Usomini Youth Federation led by Comr. Gift Elemosah.
