The apex youth body in the oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom operating under the aegis of Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC, is set to host a football tournament across the kingdom this festive season.
The tournament which promises to be funfare, thrilling and entertaining will kickoff on Sunday 8th of December, 2024, at Ogulagha Community and spans till 21st December, 2024.
President of the Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC, Comr. Roland Pere-ebi Dede has stated that this football tournament will foster unity and enhance brotherliness.
As a Kingdom, we have to foster strong love and unity among ourselves. And football is a key factor in achieving that. He said
Meanwhile, the National Sport Director of OKYC, Comr. Godfrey Ifitibou had stated that the Sport directorate is fully ready. All pitches to be used is well clean and upto standard level.
It is also reported that 1st Prize is to go home with a whopping one million naira while second prize is eight hundred thousand naira, and other consolation prizes such best player, best goalkeeper, highest goal scorer and lots more.
The football tournament will be highly competitive and interesting as it will feature best players from each respective community.
However, sons and daughters as well as football lovers is hereby invited to the opening ceremony in Ogulagha community on Sunday 8th, December, 2024.
