“I think the first area now is energy security. For your information, we are trying to have our own independent power supply. We are working with a private company called John Paul and we are in the process of procuring 60Mega Watts gas turbine for Bayelsa State.

We have assured our people that by the end of this year, we will have our own independent power supply and that is one area we need to partner with you.

So my appeal to you today is that you will intervene and help us in the area of piping the gas to our expected new facility in Elebele”, Governor Diri said.

On his part, Dr. Layi Fatona, the Board Chairman of the Renaissance African Energy Company appreciated Governor Diri and his government as the most supportive to their business.

He also thanked the Governor for the ASSURED Prosperity agenda, stating that it is in line with the vision of their company.
