Mr. Tonye Cole has congratulated the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara after the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed his electorial victory on Thursday.
In the 18th March 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State, Mr.Cole was the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
He had challenged governor Fubara’s victory at the poll, from the Election Petition Tribunal up to the Supreme Court.
According to him, he did so as a democrat, and his believe in democracy and service to the people remain unwavering, regardless of the judgement.
Mr Cole said he acknowledged the Supreme Court pronouncement and affirmation of governor Fubara victory.
He pledged to contribute his quota, and willingness to work with the Fubara led administration in building peace and conducive environment that will engender growth of commerce and development.
