Reps Panel Queries Rivers Sole Administrator Ibas Over N24 Billion CCTV Allocation, Others

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee has given Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd), 48 hours to explain some key parts of the proposed 2025 budget.

The committee, led by the Chairman and House Majority Leader, Hon. Julius Ihonvbere (APC, Edo), questioned the N24 billion set aside for CCTV at the Government House, N30 billion for gunboats, and N23 billion for contingency reserves.

They also asked for details on the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), local government fund transfers, and why state money is being used for federal projects without a refund agreement.
