In a stern warning, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, cautioned newly inaugurated chairmen and members of various commissions and boards to discharge their duties diligently. The governor handed down this warning during the swearing-in ceremony held in Asaba.
Governor Oborevwori emphasized that any public official found wanting in their duties or whose conduct is at variance with the administration’s vision and mandate would face sanctions.
The swearing-in ceremony saw the inauguration of chairmen and members of several commissions and boards, including:
Delta State Sports Commission: Joshua Onoriode Oborevwori (Chairman), Mr. Okeremute Samuel Sodje, Henrietta Iheakonyen, and Oghale Ofremu (members)
Delta State Public Procurement Commission: AIG David Igbodo (rtd) (Chairman), Mr. Edwin Eruno Abraka (Director-General), Comrade Venture Daniels, and Fyncountry Goodluck Tamaraebi (members)
Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission: Mr. Sunday Ohwo Ebireri (Chairman) and Chief Moses Chukwudi Onowu (member)
Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC): Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu (Executive Director, Projects)
Delta State Waste Management Board: Mr. Matthew Mofe Edema (Chairman) and Ethe Enifome Juliet (member)
Delta State Urban Water Board: Chief Joe Arausi (Chairman)
