Frontline aspirant for the IYC National Spokesman, Comr. Awipi Lawson has assures members of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, that he will bring back the vibrant, dogged old days of the Ijaw Youth Council were intrepid leaders like Tuodolo, Dokubo, Oronto, Kuku and others laid the template by speaking to the powers that be and created a nationalistic speaking space and made the Ijaw voice heard worldwide.
Lawson makes the declaration while consulting the leadership of the IYC Central Zone led by Comr. Clever Inodu.
He states that he is a product of the struggle from his days of student unionism which catapulted him to National President of all Ijaw student and being the Information Officer of the IYC Western Zone.
Speaking further, Lawson assures the leadership of the IYC that if elected as the Spokesman, he will fearlessly, intrepidly and doggedly speak to defend the Ijaw Nation, not just in words but match with action.

On his part, chairman of the zone, Comr. Clever Inodu expresses satisfaction in Lawson’s visit and advises him to see other aspirants has brothers, stressing that Ijaw people is one.
