Wives Of Delta Assembly Members Visit Orphanage, Donate Food Items

In celebration of the 1st anniversary of the 8th Assembly, the wives of Delta State House of Assembly members, being led by the wife of the Speaker, Mrs Timiebi Guwor today donated various food items to three Orphanage homes in Asaba, the State Capital.

Mrs Guwor who was represented by Chief Barr. Mrs Arthur-Akpowowo Ify, wife of the Deputy Speaker, commended the caregivers for their dedication and commitment to the wellbeing of the children. They encouraged the children to take their education seriously, as it is the key to a brighter future.

She further stated that the donated food items is aimed towards supporting the orphanages efforts in providing for the needs of the children and demonstrates the wives commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

The management of the orphanages expressed their gratitude for the gestures, praying for God’s protection, long life, and prosperity for the members and their wives.

The visit and donation are a testament to the Assembly’s dedication to the welfare of all citizens, especially the vulnerable. The wives initiative has brought joy and hope to the children and caregivers, fostering a sense of community and compassion.

The orphanages visited were Little Lilies of the Most Holy Trinity Foundation Motherless Babies Home, God on Earth Orphanage, and Precious People Christian Center.
