The Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thought call on Mr. President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to disregard the purported press release made by one faceless civil organization against Dr.Dennis Otuaro the administrator of presidential amnesty programme (PAP)

“We write to comment and applaud Mr.President for appointing (Dr)Dennis Otuaro who understand the rudiment of Niger Delta struggle to give a new phase to the presidential amnesty programme. The chairman Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thought Comr.Jackson Agbor address News men at Bomadi, Delta State to disregard the recent statements and press conference made by a faceless group. It has come to our attention that this group, which operates under a facade of being a civil organization, has been engaging in a campaign of baseless criticism and unfounded objections against the newly appointed administrator, Dr. Denise Otuaro of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. While our initial inclination was to disregard their childish display and outbursts, we believe it is necessary to set the record straight for the sake of historical accuracy and to ensure that those who may have been misled by their press conference are provided with the correct information.

“It is both disheartening and perplexing that individuals would choose to speak against a man who has barely had the opportunity to settle into his new role, having assumed office merely a month ago. Such individuals are calling for his appointment to be revisited, displaying a complete disregard for the need to allow him the necessary time and space to concentrate on his new responsibilities. We are compelled to question the motives behind these objections, as it can only be described as an act of wickedness to undermine a person’s appointment so early in their tenure.the leadership of Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thoughts, call on those shameless individuals to reflect and retrace their steps, accepting the reality of Dr.Otuaro’s as the new administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

“We hold a deep-rooted confidence in Dr. Otuaro’s abilities and firmly believe that he will draw upon his extensive experience in the Niger Delta region and beyond to effect positive change and reshape the narrative that has shrouded the programme in recent times. In our estimation, he is unquestionably the most suitable individual for the job in the current circumstances.

“In light of this developments, we call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu to completely disregard the aforementioned group on their evil mission to distract the Renew Hope Agenda of Mr.President. It is vital to recognize that they lack a genuine understanding of the sacrifices made by the people, particularly the Ijaws and their opinions should not be given any credence or consideration.

“Within the leadership and membership of the Ijaw Youth Leaders of Thoughts, Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s appointment is heralded as one of the most significant and commendable appointments in the region under the Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria. The entire region welcomes and supports his selection as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme”.

“We must acknowledge the pivotal nature of Dr. Otuaro’s appointment. With his democratic credentials and unwavering commitment to peace, he possesses the necessary qualifications to build upon the achievements of his predecessors and strive towards the fulfillment of the programme’s objectives. As a peace advocate, Dr. Otuaro was an integral part of the activities that successfully gave birth to the Amnesty Programme in 2009. Thus, he is well-versed in the intricacies of the program, leaving us with no doubt that he will exert his utmost efforts to revamp and enhance its efficacy in order to achieve the set objectives.

“In conclusion, we implore all stakeholders to rally behind Dr. Denise Otuaro and lend their wholehearted support to his initiatives as the new administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. It is imperative that we set aside any divisive actions or sentiments and unite in our collective pursuit of the region’s success and prosperity”.
