… meet Gov. Diri in Sampou

Four Korean engineers and farmers are in Bayelsa State to train engineers and staff of the State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources on the technical operations of the new rice mills donated by the South Korean Government.

The Koreans are also supporting the State Ministry of Agriculture on land preparation and planting of rice at the School-to-land rice farm along Imiringi road, Yenagoa.

Governor Douye Diri received the visiting Koreans in his country-home Sampou this afternoon and appreciated them for knowledge-transfer and capacity building of Bayelsa farmers.

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Prof. Beke Sese, who led them on the visit to the Governor, said the rice mills were being installed and that their technical support had been great in the drive for a massive rice planting in the State.
