…As Gov. Diri Calls for extension of VAT to Oil, Gas Sector
Plateau State Governor, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang, on Thursday, inaugurated the reconstructed Onuebum-Otuoke Road as part of activities lined up to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Prosperity Administration.
In his speech at the ceremony in Otuoke Community in Ogbia LGA of the State, Governor Mutfwang, who was visibly elated with the development in the State, commended his Bayelsa counterpart for embarking on people’s oriented Programmes, specifically on the transformation witnessed in road infrastructure, education and the health sector.
Speaking earlier, Governor Douye Diri, who harped on the importance of the tax reforms bill of the federal government, noted it would change the revenue narrative of the State.
“There is little I will say about the Onuebum-Otuoke Road; you have seen the pictures and I know the suffering that was going on here and when I saw the level of suffering, we decided that this road will be reconstructed.”
He noted that the project executed was a demonstration of his desire to improve the well-being of the people of Onuebum-Otuoke people.
