In a letter addressed to the PDP National Chairman, dated January 8, 2025, Bafarawa described his decision as “deeply personal and difficult,” but necessary to align with his vision of empowering the youth.

“I have recently dedicated myself to a new youth movement that seeks to inspire, empower, and transform the lives of our young people, who are the bedrock of our nation’s future,” Bafarawa stated.

The former governor acknowledged the PDP’s role in Nigeria’s political landscape but emphasized his decision to avoid potential conflicts of interest as he transitions into this new phase of service.

“My focus will now be solely on creating avenues for youth empowerment, fostering innovation, and promoting values that build a prosperous future for all,” he added.

Bafarawa expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had in the PDP and acknowledged the leadership and members for their efforts in promoting democracy
