The Save Amnesty Forum (SAF) a foremost Niger Delta pressure group ensuring the smooth operation of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) has add her voice to in the call for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to disregard call for the sacking of Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro as sole Administrator for the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP). This call was made by the Chairman of SAF in person Comr. James Ogoba in a brief sent to newsmen.

Your Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
I write to you with utmost respect and concern regarding the recent call by the so-called “Coalition of Civil Society Organizations from the Niger Delta” demanding the cancellation of Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro’s appointment as Sole Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP).
This demand, purportedly made by Coalition of Civil Society Organizations from the Niger Delta is misguided and fails to recognize Dr. Otuaro’s exceptional qualifications and extensive experience in peacebuilding efforts within the Niger Delta region.
As you are well aware, Dr. Otuaro brings a wealth of relevant expertise to this crucial role. His distinguished tenure as Chairman of the Delta State Subcommittee on Waterways Security Council, membership on the Federal Government’s Presidential Committee on Environment in the Niger Delta, and senior positions within the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) have provided him with invaluable first-hand knowledge of the complex challenges and unique dynamics of the region.
Furthermore, Dr. Otuaro’s impressive academic credentials, including a doctorate in Comparative Politics and Development Studies, a Master of Science in Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Education degree, underscore his comprehensive theoretical understanding of the issues at hand. This academic prowess, coupled with his extensive practical experience, positions him as an ideal candidate to lead the PAP’s initiatives for sustainable development, conflict resolution, and lasting peace in the Niger Delta.
It is evident that the purported “Coalition of Civil Society Organizations from the Niger Delta” do not genuinely represent the best interests of the Niger Delta people. Rather, they appear to be faceless entities seeking to undermine your administration’s efforts before they even commence, possibly driven by ulterior motives or personal agendas.
I implore you, Mr. President, to disregard these misguided calls and maintain confidence in your eminently qualified appointee, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro. Reversing this decision would not only destabilize the PAP’s leadership but also subvert the program’s critical mission of fostering peace and progress in the Niger Delta region.
Dr. Otuaro has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the people of the Niger Delta throughout his career. He deserves the opportunity to leverage his skills, knowledge, and passion to drive positive change and address the region’s longstanding challenges through the PAP.
Thank you, Mr. President, for your judicious consideration of this matter of great importance to the Niger Delta and the nation as a whole. We have full faith in your leadership and Dr. Otuaro’s ability to produce tangible and lasting impacts through the Presidential Amnesty Program.
