Aspirant for National Spokesman in the just concluded Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Worldwide elections, Comr. Awipi Lawson has stretched out his hands of Congratulations to Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, IYC President Worldwide, Amb Princewill Binebai, IYC Spokesman, and all others who emerged victorious during the polls.
Awipi in a statement made available to newsmen, describe the polls as the will of Ijaw Nation.
He states that Ijaw Nation has decided. Hence, he is willing to work with the newly elected 9th NEC of Council under the visionary leadership of Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr.
“In the course of the election and during my campaigns, I have learnt alot and it is an experience worth taking.
The good, bad and ugly is only a pointer and testament to a brighter future.
“I also wish to pull out barrels of appreciation to all my supporters who believe in my vision, leaders who helped in one way or the other, elders and critical stakeholders of Council, my immediate family for all the sleepless nights, tireless efforts put in place in the course of my campaigns.
“In a special way, I salute the doggedness of Eric Omare Esq, for standing as a big pillar, Chief Kestin Pondi, for the huge back up, Chief Boro Opudu, Thompson Fuoye, Sir Godfrey Pondi, Dr. Felix Tuodolo, you’re a leader par excellence, Akpos Meze, my friends and brothers, my media team and many others too numerous to mentioned here.
“It is my heartfelt prayer that God Almighty blesses you all and Ijaw Nation will move forward to a greater height as the 9th NEC under Jonathan Lokpobiri takes the Ijaw struggle to the next level.
